मुंबई महानगरपालिकेत भाजप, शिवसेना एकनाथ शिंदे, रिपाई आणि रालाआचे सदस्य असे सर्वजण मिळून आम्ही १५१ जण निवडून आणू. मुंबईत भाजपचाच महापौर होईल, पण तो एकनाथ शिंदे यांच्या आशीर्वादाने होईल. आम्ही तिघे एकत्रच आहोत. यामध्ये कितीह बुद्धिछल करायचा प्रयत्न केला तरी आकडेवारी बदलणार नाही. मी स्पष्टपणे सांगत आहे की, मुंबईत महापौर हा भाजपचाच होणार. एनडीए म्हणून भाजपचा महापौर होणार, हे आमच्यात अगोदरच ठरले आहे, असे आशिष शेलार यांनी सांगितले.

राज्यातील शिवसेनेच्या अनेक आमदार, खासदारांनी उद्धव ठाकरेंची साथ सोडली असली तरी मुंबईतील त्यांची संघटना शाबूत आहेत, हा दावा आशिष शेलार यांनी फेटाळून लावला. मुंबईत एकूण सहा खासदार आहेत. त्यापैकी शिवसेनेचे ३ खासदार भाजपच्या कृपेने निवडून आले होते. यापैकी दोन आमदार आणि चार आमदार एकनाथ शिंदे यांच्यासोबत गेले. आदित्य ठाकरे यांच्या मतदारसंघातील दोन नगरसेवकही शिंदे यांच्यासोबत गेले. जनतेची एवढीच सहानुभूती ठाकरेंच्या पाठिशी असेल तर त्यांनी एकनाथ शिंदे किंवा इतरांना सल्ला देण्याच्या फंदात पडू नये. आदित्य ठाकरे हे भाजप, शिवसेना आणि रिपाईचे आमदार म्हणून निवडून आले आहेत. त्यांनी पंतप्रधान मोदींचा फोटो लावून प्रचार केला, देवेंद्र फडणवीसांनी त्यांच्यासाठी सभा घेतील होती. त्यामुळे आदित्य ठाकरे हे आमच्या मतांवर निवडून आले आहेत. ते स्वैराचार करून दुसऱ्यासोबत गेले. त्यामुळे त्यांन वरळीतील आमदारकीचा राजीनामा द्यावा. वरळीत निवडणूक होऊन जाऊ द्या. मग ‘दूध का दूध, पानी का पानी होईल’, असे आशिष शेलार यांनी म्हटले.
