पर्यायानं विमानसेवा रद्द केली जाते. याचा फटका विमानाने प्रवास करणाऱ्या प्रवाशांना नेहमीच बसतो. त्यामुळे शासनानं जरी खाजगी तत्वावर हे विमानतळ सुरू केले असलं तर याकडे लक्ष देण्याची गरज आहे. मात्र अलायन्स एअरची सेवा संकटात आली आहे. अजुनही त्या एअर अलायन्स परिस्थिती नाजुक बनत चालली आहे. चिपी विमानतळावरील सेवा सुरू राहण्यासाठी आमचे प्रयत्न सुरू आहेत. त्यासाठी केंद्रीय मंत्री नारायण राणे यांच्यासह खासदार विनायक राऊत सर्व मंडळी प्रयत्न करत आहोत, असे पालकमंत्री रविंद्र चव्हाण यांनी सांगितले.
१ सप्टेंबर पासून मुंबई ते चिपी सिंधुदुर्ग विमानसेवा सुरळीत होणे गरजेचे होते. यासाठी चिपी विमानतळाप्रश्नी बऱ्याच बैठका झाल्या. पुर्वी उड्डाण योजनेअंतर्गत एअरलायन्सची सेवा सुरू झाली होती. ज्या कंपनीला हा ठेका दिला होता. त्या एअरलायन्स कंपनीचा ठेका ऑक्टोबरपर्यंत आहे. मुंबई येथे चिपीसाठी एकच स्लॉट उपलब्ध आहे. इतर कंपन्यामार्फत वेगवेगळे रूट सुरू करण्याचा प्रयत्न आहे. या रूटवर खाजगी पध्दतीने विमान घेतले तर साधारण १३ हजार रूपये एक प्रवासी भाडे बसेल तर ते सर्वसामान्य प्रवाशांना परवडणारे नाही. त्यामुळे गणेशोत्सवासाठी चिपी विमानतळावरून येणाऱ्या चाकरमान्यांचे हिरमोड झाला आहे.
या उलट मोपा येथे तिकीट दर सर्वसामान्यांना परवडणारा आहे. त्यामुळे खाजगी पध्दतीचा विचार करणे योग्य ठरत नाही. छोट्या विमानांच्या माध्यमातून जिल्ह्यात काही करता येईल का ? याबाबतचा विचार सुरू आहे. यासाठी मी एकटाच प्रयत्न करत आहे, असे नाही, याकरीता केंद्रीय मंत्री नारायण राणे, खा. राऊत असे अन्य लोकप्रतिनिधी सुध्दा प्रयत्न करत आहेत. सद्यस्थितीत मुंबई चिपी विमानसेवा सुरू होण्याची चिन्हे नसल्याचेही पालकमंत्री रविंद्र चव्हाण यांनी सांगितले.
