आर्कान्सा नर्सिंग होम, मेफिल्डमधील एक कारखाना आणि दक्षिण इलिनॉयमधील अॅमेझॉन वेअरहाऊस चक्रीवादळाच्या तडाख्यात सापडल्यानं अनेकांचा मृत्यू झाल्याचं समजंतय. पश्चिम केंटकीमध्ये पसरलेल्या किमान १५ काउंटीमध्ये नुकसान झाल्याची नोंद झाली आहे.
केंटकीचे गव्हर्नर अँडी बेशियर यांनीही चक्रीवादळात मृतांच्या संख्येची पुष्टी केलीय. मृतांचा आकडा ५० वर पोहचला असून हा आकडा ७० ते १०० पर्यंत वाढण्याची शक्यताही गव्हर्नर बेशियर यांनी व्यक्त केलीय.

मिसुरीमध्ये आलेल्या भीषण चक्रीवादळात किमान एकाचा मृत्यू झाला तर शुक्रवारी रात्री उशिरा आणि शनिवारी पहाटे मध्य-पश्चिम आणि दक्षिणेकडील काही भागांनाही चक्रीवादळानं तडाखा दिल्याची माहिती मिळतेय. लेक काऊंटीमध्ये वादळात दोन जणांचा मृत्यू झाल्याचं समजतंय. तर ओबियन काऊंटीमध्येही एका व्यक्तीला आपला जीव गमवावा लागलाय.
पोलिसांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, चक्रीवादळात अडकलेल्या दोन जणांनी हेलिकॉप्टरनं सुटका करण्यात आली. प्रशासनाकडून विध्वंसाची आणि जीवितहानीची आणखी माहिती गोळा करण्याचा प्रयत्न केला जातोय.
