जळगाव शहरातील योगेश्वर नगर इथे राहणारे प्रकाश महाजन हे आज रविवारी सकाळी मंदिरात दर्शनासाठी गेले होते. यावेळी त्यांच्या पत्नी सुष्मा यांनी बादलीत हिटर टाकून पाणी तापवण्यास ठेवले होते. पाणी गरम झाले की नाही हे पाहण्यासाठी त्यांनी बादलीला हात लावताच जोरदार विजेचा धक्का बसला. यात त्यांना जागीच मृत्यू झाला. घटना कळताच कुटुंबीयांनी त्यांना शासकीय वैद्यकीय महाविद्यालय व रुग्णालयात दाखल केले होते. मात्र तेथील डॉक्टरांनी सुष्मा यांना मृत घोषित केले. या घटनेमुळे कुटुंबीय, नातेवाईकांनी रुग्णालयात आक्रोश केला.

दरम्यान, मृत सुष्मा महाजन यांच्या पश्चात पती, एक मुलगा व एक मुलगी असा परिवार आहे. या प्रकरणी शनिपेठ पोलीस ठाण्यात आकस्मित मृत्यूची नोंद करण्यात आली आहे.
