Ahmednagar Name changing Issue : औरंगाबाद नामांतराच्या वादानंतर आता अहमदनगरच्या नामांतराची मागणी पुढे आली आहे. अहमदनगरचं (Ahmednagar) नाव अहिल्यानगर (Ahilya Nagar) करा, अशी मागणी भाजपचे आमदार गोपीचंद पडळकर (Gopichand Padalkar) यांनी केलीय. पडळकर यांनी मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरेंना (CM Uddhav Thackeray) पत्र लिहून नामांतर करण्याचं आवाहन केलं आहे. पडळकर यांनी पत्रातून शरद पवार यांच्यावर टीकास्त्र सोडलं आहे तर नामांतरासंदर्भात मुख्यमंत्र्यांना आवाहन केलं आहे.

गोपीचंद पडळकर यांनी लिहिलेल्या पत्रात म्हटलं आहे की, नुकत्याच पार पडलेल्या चौंडी, अहमदनगर येथील पुण्यश्लोक अहिल्यादेवी होळकर यांच्या जयंतीमध्ये  पवार आजोबा-पुतण्याच्या मुघलशाहीने पोलीस बळाचा गैरवापर करत अहिल्यादेवी भक्तांना चौंडी येथे दर्शनापासून जाण्यास रोखलं. शेकडो हिंदूंनी जीव गमावलेल्या मुंबई बॅामब्लास्टचा सुत्रधार दाऊद इब्राहीमच्या बहिणीसोबत आर्थिक भागीदार नवाब मलिक यांचे पालनकर्ते शरदचंद्र पवार यांना हिंदू राजमाता यांची जयंती म्हणजे नातवाला लॅान्च करण्याचा इव्हेंट वाटतो, असंही पडळकरांनी म्हटलं आहे.

पडळकरांनी म्हटलं आहे की, हिंदूराजमाता पुण्यश्लोक अहिल्यादेवी होळकर म्हणजे  संपूर्ण  हिंदूस्थानाच्या प्रेरणास्थान आहेत. जेंव्हा हिंदूस्थान मुसलमानी राजवटीत हिंदूसंस्कृती,मंदिरं लुटली आणि तोडली जात होती, त्यावेळेस अहिल्यामातेनं या हिंदुसंस्कृतीत प्राण फुकले, त्यांचा जीर्णोद्धार केला. हिंदू राजमाता पुण्यश्लोक अहिल्यादेवींचा जन्म झाला, त्या जिल्ह्याचे ‘अहमदनगर’ नाव बदलून ‘अहिल्यानगर’ करण्यात यावे अशी तमाम अहिल्याप्रेमींची लोकभावना आहे, असं पडळकरांनी पत्रात म्हटलं आहे.
