देहरादून: हिमालयन वायग्राच्या उत्पादनात २० टक्क्यांनी वाढ झाली आहे. उत्तराखंडच्या डोंगराळ भागांत हिमालयन वाग्राचं उत्पादन होतं. स्थानिक भाषेत तिला कीडा जडी म्हटलं जातं. हिमालयात २५०० मीटरहून अधिक उंचीवर कीडा जडी आढळून येते.

२०१४ ते २०१९ या कालावधीत कीडा जडीचं उत्पादन घटलं होतं. मात्र लॉकडाऊननंतर कीडा जडीचं उत्पादन वाढलं. हिमालयातील पर्वतरांगांमध्ये असलेल्या माळरानांमध्ये मोठ्या प्रमाणात कीडा जडीचं उत्पादन झालं. प्रदूषणात घट झाल्यानं आणि लॉकडाऊनमुळे माणसांच्या हालचालींवर निर्बंध आल्याचा परिणाम पाहायला मिळाला. लास्पा, च्चिपल केदार, गोल्फा, नाग्रिस धारा, जंतारी, पंचाचुली, रालाम, मिलाम, राजरंभा आणि कानार परिसरात काडी जडीचं उत्पादन वाढलं आहे.

पित्तोरगढच्या सरकारी महाविद्यालयात प्राणीशास्त्रचे सहायक प्राध्यापक सचिन बोहरांनी वायग्राच्या वाढत्या उत्पादनाबद्दल सामाजिक, आर्थिक सर्वेक्षण केलं. ‘२०१४ ते २०१९ या कालावधीत कीडा जडीच्या उत्पादनात घट झाली होती. मात्र यंदा उत्पादन चांगलं झालं आहे. उत्पादनानं २०१९चा विक्रम मोडीत काढला,’ असं बोहरांनी सांगितलं.

कीडा जडीचा दर सध्या किलोमागे १२ लाख रुपयांवर गेल्याचं पित्तोरगढचे ग्रामस्थ असलेल्या दिवानसिंह बिश्त यांनी सांगितलं. २०१९ मध्ये हा दर ६ लाखांच्या आसपास होता. लॉकडाऊनमध्ये अनेक निर्बंध आले. पर्यटन ठप्प झालं. त्यामुळे हिमालयात भटकंती, ट्रेकिंगसाठी कोणीच येत नव्हतं. याच कारणामुळे प्रदूषण घटलं आणि कीडा जडीचं उत्पादन वाढलं.
